Hello everyone! I'm a up and coming Indie Game Dev with ZERO background in art... games design....... Or even coding.. Well, that doesn't sound too fun. But my game might be! Please follow me on this venture as I learn how to create games, and play the games I do make in the process. This game will forever be free, so if you find it somewhere else for a cost, it's not me.

This game is called Cosmic Conquest, it is a game inspired by Galaga, and is currently a WORK IN PROGRESS.. That means it's not done... That means there might be bugs... That means that there might be things added later. At the moment, it is kind of bare bones.

If you have any features you might want to see that isn't listed, let me know. If it is a well requested feature, or something that I think would benefit the game greatly, I will get working on it.

Current Features!

  • Player
    • Has Lives (how else would the game end?)
    • Flashes red when hit.
    • Can shoot pew pews.
    • Pew Pews can level up based on player's attack speed.
  • Powerups
    • Powerups randomly spawn on a fixed timer.
    • Health powerup (looks like a med kit) gives a life to the player.
    • Attack Speed Powerup (looks like the med kit with a lightning bolt) increases the players attack speed.
    • Attack Damage Powerup (looks like an ammo kit) increases the damage of the player.
  • Enemies
    • There is only ONE type of enemy, but different color variations.
    • Enemy gives a set amount of points when defeated.

    • Enemy HP and Point Values vary based on the speeds of the enemies.
    • A boss spawns at given points in time and scales with level difficulty.
  • UI (In debug at the moment)
    • There is a Main Menu with non working Options and Highscore buttons. (Features to be added later.)
    • The play game UI you see is more for debug purposes, but doesn't provide the player any actual benefit except visual information. The below information is tracked in the order it appears on the screen.

    • Score is tracked.
    • Health (Lives) is tracked.

    • Current Attack Speed level is tracked. (As this increases, you will notice your ship shoot from 1 muzzle, to 2, to 3. Maxing out at 3 at the moment.
    • There is a game over screen that lists what your score and difficulty level reached was. You can then start over or quit from there. (Feature to go back to the main menu to be added later.)
      • Quit feature has been removed to prevent crashing in browser.
    • Added a slightly better looking in game UI.

Pause button, different color enemies = diff kill points.

I enjoy any constructive criticism. So if there is something you feel can be improved, or a feature you might want to see added, keeping in mind that it is a WIP game, let me know in the comments!
